ABOUT KMONO
KMONO began with a simple idea.
I love how clothing can completely change a moment and instantly set the mood. I wanted to create pieces that could do that without waiting for somewhere special to wear them.
At home. Getting dressed. Going out. Traveling. Or simply wanting to feel a little more like yourself.
KMONO grew from that idea. Beautiful pieces with personality, made to be worn far more often than the occasion might suggest.

I’ve been designing professionally since 2010.
My first independent line, Birthday Suit Shop, began with swimwear and later grew into lingerie and ready-to-wear. The idea behind it was simple:
Celebrate your body, your abilities, your life.
That thinking never really left.
KMONO is an evolution of it. The pieces are looser, more layered and a little more lived in, but the intention is the same: make clothing that helps you feel good in the life you’re actually living.
HOW IT’S MADE
Each KMONO is cut and sewn after your order is placed.
We work in small quantities rather than producing piles of inventory and hoping it sells. Depending on the piece, you’ll find hand-block printed cotton, silk organza, thoughtful lining and trim, and the small variations that come with something made individually.
That takes a little longer.
We’re fine with that.

WHAT IT’S REALLY ABOUT
The good stuff shouldn’t be waiting for a special occasion.
Wear the silk at home. Throw the Original over something simple. Belt it. Leave it open. Take it on vacation and then wear it again on a Tuesday.
The point isn’t saving your KMONO for later.
